Here we are again, starting a new season at the Ocean Reef Art League, and there is much to be excited about.
When I received my Art League Catalogue I was pleasantly overwhelmed at the variety of choices of Workshops, Classes, Exhibitions, Shows and off property excursions we are offering this year. Grab a cup of coffee or tea, sit, relax and take your time browsing through all your options and then be sure to get registered for your favorites soon as many of the classesand workshops book up.
Back by popular demand are classes like Nantucket Baskets, Needlepoint, Sea Glass Mosaics, Seashell Art, Knitting Classes, Paint Nights, and so many more! Why not try your hand at something new or join your friends at your old favorites.
Our “Off The Reef Excursions’ can book up quickly and with the variety we have this season we really do have something for almost everyone. Starting in December we have a beautiful trip planned to Flamingo Botanical Gardens and the Gardens of Light. This is one of the oldest gardens in South Florida as well as home of a Florida Native Wildlife Sanctuary. It will be a special trip just before the hectic Christmas season to enjoy this tour with a knowledgable botanist. We also have South Beach Art and Eats tour in January, Jersey Boys Tony Award winning musical in February as well as Wynwood Walls and Bakehouse Art Complex in February. In March we have a Biltmore Tour and Lunch and then April a tour of Historic Ft. Lauderdale.
But well before the new year we will continue our tradition of Workshops for the kids in your family.Look for kids Paint Nights, Cookies for Santa plates, Paint & Pizza night, Melting Colors, and so much more.
We are thrilled to continue with some of our most popular Art Shows and Exhibits but this year have added a few new and very special events so mark your calendars and don’t miss out!
We deeply appreciate everyone’s support, especially the ongoing support of the incredibly generous Ocean Reef Community Foundation. We are thrilled that they recognize the value and unique experiences we can offer to the Members of Ocean Reef because of their support.
Our memberships continue to grow, and we welcome new members! Come and see what it’s all about. Stop by our regular shows, and please feel free to speak to our staff about the many programs we offer.
