Here we are again, starting a new season at the Ocean Reef Art League, and there is much to be excited about.
When I received my Art League Catalogue I was pleasantly overwhelmed at the variety of choices of Workshops, Classes, Exhibitions, Shows and Off Reef Excursions we are offering this year. Grab a cup of coffee or tea, sit, relax and take your time browsing through all your options and then be sure to get registered for your favorites soon as many of the classes and workshops book up.
Back by popular demand are workshops like Nantucket Baskets, Needlepoint, Sea Glass Mosaics, Seashell Art, Knitting Classes, Paint Nights, and so many more! Why not try your hand at something new or join your friends at your old favorites.
Our Off The Reef Excursions can book up quickly and with the variety we have this season we really do have something for almost everyone. On December 2, members will enjoy a VIP preview at Art Miami, one of the city’s premier art events showcasing cutting-edge contemporary works. Then, on December 14, the season continues with an unforgettable afternoon at the Miracle Theatre to see a live performance of the Tony Award–winning musical Man of La Mancha. In January we will have a Miami Beach Art Deco Celebration, and an evening with Delirium Music. In February we are featuring a performance of Riverdance Live and The Deering Estate. Lastly in March, curiosity meets creativity with a trip to the Frost Science and Perez Art Museum Miami.
We are continuing our tradition of workshops for the kids in your family. Look for kids Paint Nights, Cookies for Santa plates, Paint & Pizza Night, Melting Colors, and so much more.
We are thrilled to continue with some of our most popular Art Shows and Exhibits but this year have added a few new and very special events so mark your calendars and don’t miss out!
We deeply appreciate everyone’s support, especially the ongoing support of the incredibly generous Ocean Reef Community Foundation. We are thrilled that they recognize the value and unique experiences we can offer to the Members of Ocean Reef because of their support.
Our memberships continue to grow, and we welcome new members! Come and see what it’s all about. Stop by our regular shows, and please feel free to speak to our staff about the many programs we offer.
