Begin your Celtic escape by moving into a beautiful private lodge located on the edge of the legendary Loch Ness. From here, you can delve into a land steeped in history and folklore, lose yourself in the dramatic landscapes of the gorse- and heather-peppered Highlands, and uncover the country’s ancient Gaelic roots. Or simply sit by the fire to enjoy a dram of whisky.
Multiple private full-day adventures await you, including a tour of the Isle of Skye; a tour of Loch Ness and the Cairngorms (including a speedboat tour of Loch Ness); and a day of golf for eight at Cabot Highlands Golf Course with an afternoon stop in Inverness.
It also will be your choice whether to spend a full day touring (and tasting at) two of Speyside Whisky’s distilleries (whisky is in its natural element in the Scottish Highlands, after all) or playing golf (greens fees covered) at Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Links. And one evening, a private chef will come to the lodge to prepare a special dinner for you.
The four double-bedrooms/four baths lodge sits just four miles from Fort Augustus (about a five-minute drive), where you will find wonderful shops, restaurants, pubs, and cafes. Whether it’s time-honored local foods, laughter, dance, song, whisky or the golf links – these are all things which keep visitors coming back, keen to feel welcome once more.
