AMSTERDAM IN FULL BLOOM: CULTURE, CUISINE & CHARM SIX NIGHTS / SIX PEOPLE
APRIL 28-MAY 4, 2025
Prepare to embrace the full beauty of the Netherlands in the spring. Your home away from home will be Amsterdam’s lovely five-star Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Maurits at the Park, an SLH property, and your itinerary will introduce you to multiple aspects of distinctively Dutch culture.
One day, you will tour the countryside from the traditional villages of Noord-Holland (think: the fishing village of Marken and Broek with its wooden houses), then experience a typical cheese and clogs farm, stopping in Edam (yes, as in that red-waxed delight), and finally, stand in awe beneath the iconic windmills in Schermerhorn.
Another day will be devoted to the wonder of acre upon acre of blooming tulips, beginning with an early morning visit to the stunning kaleidoscopic Keukenhof Gardens. From there, you’ll move on to the largest tulip fields in the world in Kop Van Noord Holland, and that afternoon, you’ll behold the inner workings of an organic tulip farm.
You will also spend a full day in the vibrant and historic city of Brussels, including a stop to see the Royal Greenhouses of Laeken, a vast complex of monumental heated conservatories in the Royal Palace’s park that are open to the public only three weeks each year.
Plus, there’s Amsterdam itself, where you will be treated to a dinner and wine pairing at the two-Michelin-starred Ciel Blu atop the luxurious Hotel Okura; Dutch cheese and charcuterie in the cozy tasting room at Fromagerie Abraham Kef; private tours of the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum; a private canal cruise dinner; a private two-hour city bike tour; and an early morning visit to the world-famous (and not-to-be-missed) Aalsmeer flower auction adjacent to Schiphol Airport (the size of 80 football fields, featuring flowers from all points of the globe).
Includes three Luxury Superior Double rooms for six guests with daily breakfast; private guide and transport for the listed day tours, which are date-specific; lunches and dinners not included unless specified above. Airfare not included.
